Our Client
A large and well-established manufacturing business that employs over 500 staff and is based in Otahuhu, Auckland. They undertake the processing operations of their group and pride themselves in the high-quality nature of their products catering to both NZ and international markets.

This role is a permanent position, reporting to the Boning Improvement Manager. 

Key responsibilities:
• Assist the staff to meet company targets for H&S through management of injuries, safety compliance and interactions.
• Managing staff issues when required and monitoring staffing levels and ensuring communication standards are high at all levels
• Ensuring staff have adequate training to complete necessary tasks and keep up with the introduction of any new technology
• Monitoring room throughputs, ensuring that product cuts and yields meet or exceed company requirements
• Overseeing all quality aspects, from food safety through to compliance requirements
• Ensuring work is completed to standard operation procedures at all times

Essential skills and experience required:
• Hands on boning experience

• Supervisory management skills are essential
• Time management and organisational skills
• Resilient and able to work in a busy manufacturing environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• LEAN experience and an understanding of Manufacturing Excellence would be seen as a distinct advantage
• Computer skills

• Primary industry experience is preffered
