The Opportunity: 
This role sits within a highly reputable organisation who have doubled in size in the last year and are getting busier and busier by the day. Due to the work load increase they are needing a Payroll Officer to work closely with the Payroll Manager. The role is for 6 months and could well extend as they have a busy work load ahead.

The Role:
This is an end to end Payroll position working within a team of two others - a Payroll Officer and Manager. You will be responsible for working as a team to achieve results in all aspects of accurate monthly and fortnightly payroll and maintaining payroll records in a confidential manner.

Key responsibilities include (however not limited to): 
  • Processing end-to-end payroll, both wages and salary
  • Reconciliations and eye for discrepancies
  • Distribution of payroll deductions
  • Maintenance of employee records
  • Preparing monthly and yearly payroll statements
  • Kiwisaver, PAYE and IRD payment processing
  • Thorough consulting with staff on legislative queries
The role is 40 hours Monday to Friday and there is some flexibility with start finish times.

What you will bring to this role:
You will be an experienced Payroll Officer who is computer savvy with strong Excel skills. You will have excellent attention to detail and a can-do attitude. You will also understand payroll legislation and will be one step ahead when changes occur. As well as this you will also be highly confidential and someone who is approachable and trustworthy.
