We are proud to be recruiting for this not-for-profit organisation located in Meadowbank/Purewa, which delivers high quality services and support for customers and their loved ones. They have a close-knit and friendly team, that has been with the organisation for several years. They are looking for an experienced Reception & Administrator on a Monday to Friday basis located at their beautiful modern facility in Meadowbank with onsite carparking.
 
About the role - Atu mo te mahi
We are looking for a person with strong/ high empathy, emotional intelligence & interpersonal skills, as you will be engaging with grieving whānau/family/loved ones and funeral directors in this busy role to help coordinate funerals and cremations. This is to commence immediately on an initial 3-month temporary assignment and has the potential to become a permanent position

Key tasks and accountabilities:
  • Co-ordinate, support and provide administration                       
  • Answering incoming calls and managing the email inbox
  • Provide a welcoming environment
  • Data entry and preparation of documents
  • face to face customer service, to help with general enquiries and to help customers purchase plaques Coordination of paper work – high accuracy and attention to detail are imperative
  • Scheduling bookings for the chapels and lounges
  • Provide support wherever needed
About you - Pehea koe
  • Proven customer service/reception/administration experience, ideally within a medical, mental health or social work environment
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
  • High attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive & confidential information
  • Proficient Microsoft skills & c0omnouter literacy
  • Ability to work independently and strong initiative
  • Ability to work in a changing environment
  • Warm, friendly & engaging personality
  • Good resilience and the passion for helping people
  • High accuracy with typing and high attention to detail with paperwork
  • Strong work ethic – reliable and committed
